I hope everyone enjoyed the tournament as much as I did. Your cooperation, camaraderie and sportsmanship were paramount in making this tournament so successful. This was a large tournament, the largest USATT sanctioned tourney of the weekend. And, if not for some computer glitches causing an obvious delay between rounds, things ran according to schedule. We will positively correct the computer program issue before the next Baton Rouge tournament, which we expect to schedule for August.

We are the only table tennis club in Baton Rouge that is affiliated with
USATT. The skill level of the players ranges from beginner to advanced, with the USATT Rating of about 2000. The club is open for everyone to play, on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

USATT RATINGS HAVE BEEN POSTED FOR THE TOURNAMENT!

A Special Thank You to Participants in the 2019 Baton Rouge Jambalaya Open.

It takes many hands and minds to organize and run a tournament of this magnitude. Special thanks to the following club members for their planning and assistance: Robert Guillotte, James Lindberg, Richard Martin, Bogdan Oporowski, and Doug Stewart. Also, thanks to the many hands for setting up and staying late tearing down.

Please accept my thanks and that of the BRTTC membership. The tournament winners of each division are listed below. Hope to see y’all this August when we can again “pass a good time”. Y’all come back now!

Mark Richterman, BRTTC President
